Sussy Ruiz is a news management leader with over 17 years of experience in strategic thinking, analysis, and business strategy across local markets. She is talented at connecting, planning, and developing ideas into greater projects, even during challenging circumstances. Her passion for news and content goes beyond the screen and it is reflected in everything I do. Her experience involves:

Editorial and operational strategy
Data analysis & optimization on patterns in demographics & trends across platforms
In-depth knowledge of multiplatform integration processes
Digital and social media strategy
U.S. Spanish & Latin American audience

Ruiz has worked different levels of project management along with the research teams, marketing, community affairs, sales, and procurement.

She is also the proud recipient of 6 Lone Star Emmy Awards and 7 nominations.

She teaches at public universities in Texas, most recently at the University of Texas in Denton and at the University of Texas in Arlington. Here I’ve taught media management, media ethics and electronic news. I am also a member of the Board of Governors for the Lone Star Emmy Chapter.
